Benz Ignition Coil 1894-1900

This is a rare early Bassé et Michel "Nilmelior" coil as originally fitted by the works to the early Mannheim built single cylinder Benz cars.

This coil is marked 30/6/97 on the vulcanite and the number marked on the inside of the lid is 2324.

It worked when last tested in October 2024 but is sold as not working.

All early single cylinder Mannheim built Benz cars should be fitted with this type of ignition coil if only for historical accuracy.
