Making a Bugatti run well on methanol is a balancing act , from the 1970’s and eighties racer’s found that they could modify a pre war SU carb to allow very strong performance on the race track. Even today the fastest GP cars run a SU carb on track.
This one was used in the US on a GP car that has now retired from racing.
