A recently completed restoration of Harley-Davidson’s 74ci sidevalve 'Big Twin', with running-in miles covered and a subsequent check-over carried out.

Introduced for 1930, the VL replaced Harley-Davidson’s inlet-over-exhaust 'Big Twin'. The VLD designation identifies a generator-equipped model with high-compression pistons

Previously the subject of an older restoration, this example was acquired by our vendor, an experienced engineer and enthusiast, in 2024, following 14 years in its previous owner’s care

Our vendor has since completed a full restoration, leaving no stone unturned - the rebuilt engine running beautifully and a replacement fuel tank, the previous tank having been beyond repair

Fitted with the correct touring handlebars, parking lights, chrome horn, toolbox, front and rear wheel stands, luggage carrier and wicker rear basket

Offered with a UK V5C. Running-in miles have been covered since the restoration, followed by a check-over
