007 Ladies

Want these lovely ladies to get out? Go ahead, click the photo, but be careful!, their licence plate reads 007. While your're at it, give some of your precious time to studying their charming hats and their barely run-in 1917 series 90 Overland Roadster. And then this vintage gravel road. You can almost hear the crackling sound the tyres must have made on a surface like that. It's the stuff the first highways were made of. The same road in today's marketing terms is being described as 'off the road'.... Now don't think people didn't complain about the dust. We have a report of a Franklin owner in those days. He describes the terrible dust and how he welcomed a little rain. Or much better in that pre-tarmac era: 'This morning we had a nice oily(!) road.' To spray oil on the road was a common practice then... Don't say nothing has changed.(photos collection editor)
