1911 - 2004 Prince Bernhard

Early in the evening of Wednesday 1 December the sad news came in of the passing away of H.R.H. Bernhard, Prince of the Netherlands, at the age of 93. Apart from all his other qualities, he was a keen motorist and we at PreWarCar will remember him as an avid enthusiast of all things motoring. Not only he had a special affection for Ferrari (edit. Enzo was a personal friend), he was also patron of the P.A.C. the Dutch Pioneer Automobile Club, in which he always showed great interest. The photo shows H.R.H. Bernhard filming from his Cord 812.
