Wartime genuine Willy’s Jeep; includes the rifle carrier, axe and spade; still in the American army livery; good oil pressure
First registered in 1942, this iconic wartime Jeep is powered by a 2,200cc petrol engine coupled to the desirable manual T90 transmission. Finished in period Army Green, it is offered with just two former keepers recorded since being imported and registered in September 2020.
The Jeep is presented complete with military accessories including a spade, axe and rifle holder, adding greatly to its authentic WWII appearance. While on site for photography and a short video, it was reported to start, run, drive and stop as expected, with good oil pressure showing.
The vendor advises that the chassis is in good condition with very little corrosion, although some minor welding is required to the front floor along with two small outriggers; replacement sections for these are included with the vehicle.
The odometer is currently showing 1,246 miles, although this figure cannot be verified. Unfortunately, much of the Jeep’s earlier history has been lost over the years, but its overall condition suggests it has been well cared for and enjoyed by previous owners for many years.
A highly evocative piece of military motoring history, this Willys Jeep offers an excellent opportunity for collectors, reenactors or enthusiasts seeking a genuine wartime vehicle with strong visual presence and usable mechanical condition.
