You see a detail of an advert for Fisk Red Tops, this is what they 'sell': "Woman drivers appreciate Fisk Service, free at Fisk branches in all principal cities. No obligation, no matter what tires you use. You are cordially invited to avail yourself of this execptional service".... ???
Well it has to do with tyres; Fisk was a tire manufacturer back then. Bought by US rubber in 1939, which changed into Uniroyal in 1967 (source: Scripophily.net). It must be some sort of service concept, free exchange or checking of tires?
