Last Sunday Mike Tebbett visited Prescott Hill for the British & Midland Championships Weekend. He wrote: “Amongst the 'modern' cars several Bugatti’s competed… on this photo from right to left Paul Tebbett (yes, my brother, and the winner on Handicap!) in a Type 22, Kraig Mycock in (on?) a Type 13, and Ian Patton (the General manager of the Bugatti Owners Club) in his Type 44, and behind him Edmund Burgess on a Type 37A. There were some wonderful juxtapositions of machinery visible in the Paddock, including three guests with steam cars. They gave a very impressive performance, but were not timed as they cannot be insured for competition!” Surely a nice day out, Mike, and a prelude to the real thing on August 1 and 2, when the Vintage Sports Car Club will celebrate their 75th Anniversary.
