A safety bicycle...who needs it ?

Ian Murray from Scotland sends this portrait made of him during a penny-farthing testride (for non-cyclists: the word penny-farthing refers to the different size of front and rear wheel which on its turn refers to different coin sizes in those days). Ian bought the imposing bike at Beaulieu at the stand from the firm 'the Real Car Co. which usually is more into four wheeled gear like Rolls & Bentley. Anyway Ian climbed the bike and took off to show his talents to the crowd. He paid a high price for his pride (click photo). "I tried to ride the penny farthing but alas, fell off and ended up with a broken arm and dislocated shoulder! A painful 547 mile drive home." We give Ian to consider getting an advice from the The Old Bicycle Company first. Maybe start with the Safety Bicycle first. (Hope you are doing well Ian ! We wish you all the best !!)
