A very special photofind.

We asked Gabriele Chiesa to enlarge one of the photos from his collection and he found to his suprise it is an Alfa Romeo RL (1921-1925. It is a bare chassis with seats only. You can actually look right through the dashboard ( see Enlarged detail). Maybe this is a factory showmodel (or prototype ?), that would be a good reason for the nice Jugendstil lettering. Note also there are no front brakes. The Alfa Romeo RL only came with 4 wheel brakes after 1923. Another nice 'detail' is the anti dust shield stretching from the front axle to the knees of the driver. Any expert who can tell more about this very vintage Alfa is very welcome.
