Always the first (UPDATE: Voisin C23 is C25 Aerodyne)

From the start in 1905 until the present day the Geneva Motor Show has been famous for the introduction of new automobiles. Whether it is the latest model from a well-known manufacturer or a glitzy prototype by a famous coachbuilder, you’ll see it in Geneva. Take for instance the Maybach by Jaray in 1932, the Voisin C23 in 1933 or the Chrysler Airflow in 1934. But it’s not only beautiful automobiles that attract attention. Exactly 75 years ago Mercedes-Benz used the 1932 Geneva Motor Show to introduce their newest truck in the two-ton category: the Lo 2000 (ned.roned.ru). It was the world’s first light-duty truck from standard production. It was also the first light truck for which a diesel engine was available as optional extra. A slightly later version was this sunny bus with steel bodywork. This year the Geneva Motor Show is to be held from March 8 until March 18. (photo courtesy DaimlerChrysler) (RB)
UPDATE by Thierry 'Voisin' Auffret: "What a pity to see an C25 named "C23" on the Geneva 77th motor show website! The car shown on this page is, of course, the C25 Aerodyne at the "Salon de Paris 1934" with its unusual two-colored dress." Check his 'pages Avions Voisin'.
