An appetite for Spykers & Genevieve.

With the recent acquiring of no less than 5 Spyker motor cars 'The Louwman Collection' (of wellknown London-Brighton enthusiast Evert Louwman) has become the most important motor museum of the Netherlands. New jewel in the collection is without any doubt the 1904 Double Phaeton showing its horn and radiator here (click here for full image). We understand this must be the car that was defeated by the 1904 Darracq, named 'Genevieve' (www.DonBrockway.com). This Darracq is also in the Louwman Collection, so the two cars are finally reunited after half a century as the movie was released in 1953. Wouldn't it be great to see the two 99 year old Motorstars competing once more in this year's London to Brighton Veteran Car Run? (photo courtesy Louwman Collection - LouwmanCollection.nl)
