A Phanomobil (made by Phanomen Werke, Gustav Hiller AG, Zittau, Germany) is not the daily car to find. Even when you are knee deep into the prewars like we do. The only one we encountered so far over the last years is a project which was for sale at "Model T Heaven" (or Haven) in the US. Maybe it is still there... Anyway this one looks like parked in an attick, but so far we only know it is in Sweden. According to owner Jan Sundin the vehicle (a word fitting best to what we see) is in good running order. Not perfectly original maybe, but when you compare it with all the others you come to the conclusion all Phanomobils were the same in being different...., check here. Have a great week!
UPDATE by Michael Ware : " Question what is the connection between Donald Campbells Bluebird and a Phanomobile? Bluebird was always/often transported overland in UK by a transport firm called Adams and Adams and they had a Phanomobile painted red in their colours. For some years I remember it was loaned to the Montagu (later National) Motor Museum at Beaulieu. I have no idea where it went, but I am pretty sure its one of the ones illustrated in the click on from your piece."
