During the early years of the previous century “Motricine” was a brand name for petrol. It was used by the French “Compagnie Industrielle des Pétroles” which in 1955 became Mobil Oil Française. Apart from its petrol Motricine was also known for a beautiful coloured advertising poster, which now is very rare. But the company also issued a black and white postcard with the same image. This one was stamped in 1907. (Click image for enlargement)
