As if one is not enough of sensation, Mark Hyman from St. Louis did not find one but two Eight litre Bentleys... This making St.Louis probably the most densely crowded 8 litre Bentley town in the world as there are already two 8-litres known there.
We understand MMG329 and GP8441 (chassis #YX5112 and #YR5086) have remained in silence and darkness of an Ohio barn for more than 20 years. Though the cars remained in a barn, they are not the typical barnfinds which need total restoration after decades of total neglect. It seems that both eight litres will be getting a comprehensive service over the next month and it is anticipated both will be roadworthy quite soon. In a short telephone interview with Mark Hyman he told that he intends to keep one of the cars and sell the other. But he is really not in a hurry as he likes to establish the full history of these cars first and is not even sure which of the two he likes best. It will be a busy autumn for the company as with the Bentley's came a few more cars, all cramped together in the barn empty tired and with doorhandles leaning against each other. Including a 1928 Phantom I Pall Mall Tourer, a 1936 lagonda LG6 and a list of Caddy's that would make a fleetowner happy.
