'Brescia not included.'

By far the most entertaining listing in our parts section is the Bantam (American Austin) roadster coachwork that will come for sale today. In the text we read about the rare body, until suddenly the line appears "Not included in this sale is the rolling chassis of the 1924 Brescia Bugatti underneath..." Of course we contacted the seller immediately asking about the underlying story. The matching number Brescia in Bantam disguise was found on a California scrapyard as early as 1961... and has travelled since. However finally it is going to be restored to earlier fame and glory and will reappear in Brescia probably not this week but hopefully in next year's MM. As you will understand the elegant Bantam body will be a left over, so is for sale as from today under 'Coachwork (and parts) ...' (photos Bart Blokhuis)
