Showing here is a 1912 Abbott-Detroit chassis. One of the contestants at the Cicuit des Ardennes memorial run. The 1902 version had start and finish in the little town Bastogne( the terrible Battle of the Bulge took place here late December 1944). Circuit length was about 60 miles and that had to be done six times. Winner with an overall average speed close to 60 mph was a Panhard Levassor. The memorial run welcomed 90 pre 1918 cars, resulting in a very interesting gallery at Oldtimerweb.be. (photos by Philippe B., courtesy OltimerWeb.be)
