What would this place be without the comments and knowledge of Kit Foster? It took him just a bit more than 24 hours to identify this automobile. The rare combination of bobbed fenders and artillery wheels brought him to the conclusion that this must be a 1922 - 1923 Chandler. A six cylinder, 45 hp (29.5 RAC), 4,7 litres. Wheelbase 312 cm. A bit of Chandler history at KT's Motorsports Garage
EARLIER TEXT: Ken Martin of Jacksonville, Florida asked us to identify Clara's car. We think it's an American Opera Coupe. Maybe a Buick, maybe a Studebaker. Judging the length of the hood it could be a six or streight 8, not a four. Which ones of you louvre-counters knows which car it is precisely? Check the full size picture and write to [email protected]. (photo collection Ken Martin)
