Close to the French village of Ouistreham lies the Pegasus Bridge (normandybattlefields.com). Captured by soldiers of the 6th Airborne Division during the early hours of June 6th, 1944 it provided a vital link in the supply route after the Normandy invasion went into full swing. Each year veterans of World War II gather here to commemorate this occasion. And of course there are also lots of military vehicles, including several pre-war cars. But in this case the real stars are not the cars, but the men who made it all possible. Did you notice the veterans on the left of the Riley with all the medals?
