Dark clouds in the sky (UPDATE: Horch and ONS)

Josef Kubista from the Czech Republic mailed us this rather blurry snapshot of a happy looking young lady. At first glimpse she is just another pretty girl posing for our occasional series of bumper and fender sitters. However, on closer inspection of the picture there’s more to it than meets the eye. Especially when you know the photo was taken in 1939 in Czechoslovakia; the car a big Audi and that the pole on the fender sports an ominous looking flag. Not visible are the very dark clouds in the background. (RB)
