EARLIER: Hans Horwitz rarely ever will leave his library, but did so yesterday...: "We participated in a typical Dutch event, the yearly Hyacint Tour, organised by the Den Hartogh Ford Museum. This beautiful private museum is the proud owner of a splendid collection of over 200 prewar Fords and Lincolns, the largest privately owned Ford collection in the world! Situated in Hillegom, a village right at the center of the famous area of bulb flower fields, this sunny Sunday in spring was an excellent opportunity to wake up the precious vehicles and to open our own eyes after a long wintersleep. May I ask your special attention to a very special Ford pickup, driven by Mr. Jack Den Hartogh, who found this woodburning car in France and had it restored to working order. " Den Hartogh Ford Museum . (photos Hans Horwitz; car in main pic LaSalle... mmpf, thanks Kim Koffman and Kit Foster it's a Lincoln of course (a 1937 LeBaron Convertible we think).
