Farewell to daddy's Buick.

Last summer we listed a US barnfind. A 1911 buick Roadster that was kept in a New York state barn for decades. Just before Christmas we received this photo showing Jeanne Pollizzotto and in the background proud new owner David Williams. He made a 2000 mile roundtrip to pick up the dusty treasure! Jeanne sold the car on behalf of her father who had purchased it back in the 1940's. Jeanne drove the car when growing up and took great care to gather up all the parts and find an understanding owner to pass the car along too. It looks like the roadster found the right home!(click) The first efforts of David Williams brought out an almost pristine quality Buick seat with only 95 year old leather. Already we look out for the final result of the restoration. Let's hope lots of the lovely patina will stay visible. (photos Jess Lee; Nova Scotia, Canada)
