Fatiguing 'Circuit des Remparts'.

The European rally season has not ended yet, but for those who were very active, the Angoulême event is a superb resting halt. Robert Vierbergen reports: "Did you ever drive a rally where they mention in their roadbook at every control/stop that the abuse of alcohol is dangerous and then get cognac served? Or how about the second stop, getting a nice aperitife and a good lunch (5 courses at an airbase) with lovely wines and good company. Lots of police around to give you a helping hand by blocking all other traffic when you pass by. Signs to follow everywhere saying "international rally". If you miss out here and are not able to collect all the stamps, get yourself a chauffeur and stop driving.... >>>
