'Honest' cars are getting rare.

Suppose this is a Duesenberg or a Delage. People would kill to get it, as you all perfectly understand that an unrestored Duesie or Bugger is extremely hard to get. This baby is neither a D or a B. It's an E, a 1931 Essex Super Six 4 door. A sturdy straightforward car of which thousands (how many?) must have been built. Nothing special. Or? Try to find a second one like this. Unrestored. Unmolested. And yet 'on the button'. As close as you can get to a pure, used, 75 year old Essex. This one now is 40 years with one family in Canada and when we asked the owner he took the trouble to start the car, take it to the road and make a few decent photos. Available at a mere 6500 Canadian dollars. You may say that is much. But don't say we never warned you. (photos David Sivecki)
