Introducing Borzoi. (UPDATEs)

Update 2"by Santiágo Gómez-Acebo: "... this is a Chenard & Walcker Faux Cabriolet of 1928 or possibly 1929. The original body was made by Carrosserie S.P.C.A. (Societé Parisienne de Carrosserie Automobile). It won several Concours in France at that time."
Updates from Michael Tebbett:"This is the 1.5 litre production car, inspired by the 1.1 litre racing 'tanks. It came out in 1928, but the 'tanks' were circa. 1925/6. Older editions of Georgano have a photo of a similar car." ... and François Raynaud:"It's rare to see one bodied in coupé, because most of them are convertibles, it has a 1500 4 cyl engine, and it's design represents very well the "art déco" era. It's a quite rare car in France, but I know at least 2 owners of the same type."
Earlier Text: Before you start e-mailing us that this is no Russian car, it's just that we thought it is polite first to introduce the long legged aristocrat in the foreground: the Russian greyhound. Learn & see more than you want to know about this exclusive make of dog at the pages of Yvonne & Rey McGehee. About the ladies in this photo we can't tell a great deal. It's what they bring us today that's attracting our interest. The second lady has a Chenard Walcker which is showing some resemblance with the 'Tank' racing cars (Seriouswheels.com) of the make. We are not sure how to look at it. Is this the civilised version of the original or a totally different type? Please enlighten us [email protected]. (Collection Horwitz)
