Keep checking French 'barns' ...

This is a very, very recent photo showing a highly desirable Mercedes-Benz 540 K in its current 'dwellings' in the centre of Paris. According to the seller's representative the car is a bit dusty due to a lack of use during the last 3 to 4 years. That aside it is in good shape after an earlier full restoration. It just needs a basic recommissioning. Just take a quick peek into the interior to get an idea of the condition. More standard than of the beaten track is the extraordinary procedure to obtain the car. Anybody who is in for a quick deal, does not need to reflect. We think the owner may be a bit elder, but didn't loose his senses before thinking up all that. The prospective buyer has to register himself as a serious buyer at the Paris attorney of the owner, before anybody is going to listen to him... We think the owner is very well aware of the fact he has something very special of which both dealers and collectors will have a few sleepless nights. And now he is no longer capable to sit at the wheel any longer, he is getting his kicks from this. From a distance he probably will enjoy the dogfight around his treasured Benz...
