Axel Preuss, member of the Gläser Forum sends this imposing phaeton of which is known that is was bodied by Gläser:
"Attached a picture of a Glaeser Phaeton with the following information: 1905 “Landol”. Have you ever heard of a car firm called “Landol”? I couldn't find anything about it! Or is Landol perhaps only the buyers name??? It is not exactly known, when Glaeser started building automobile coaches. It could be in 1902 or 1904! The first coachwork they built was for a Mercedes-Benz and then for a lot of Horch´s. Later on in the 20´s and 30´s they built cars for nearly all important German car producers (Horch, Maybach, Steyr, Adler, Opel, Ford…) and international customers also (Lincoln, Buick, Isotta-Frascini, Alfa-Romeo, Hudson, Aston Martin). " Suggestions?

UPDATE III by Dr. Heinzgerd Schott archivist of the Adler-Motor-Veteranen-Club: "The car we see here is most probably a 40 HP Adler which was built from 1906 untill 1908. The car had a 7,4 liter engine with two sets of cylinders cast in pairs. The 40 horsepowers were reached at 1150 rpm, the ignition being a combined magneto/battery set-up feeding two sparkplugs per cylinder. It is a rare fact this car was a taxi as it was a very costly car at 25,000 Goldmark, an outrageous amount of moeny when you know that the regular Adler taxis 8/15 HP did cost a mere 10,000 Goldmark. (his full report in German on next page)"
UPDATE IIedit.: we found a very similar Adler taxi (!) at TaksiHelsinki.fi.
UPDATES came in from Mike Hortig, Dick Trenk & Alistair Dray. Mike suggests the radiator shape can possibly bring us to Adler. Alistair and Dick suggest that Landol maybe is a misspelling of 'Landau' referring to the coachwork.
