'Le Beaujolais Primeur est arrivé.. !'

Traditionally 20 November is the first day to uncork and try the new, extremely young Beaujolais, vintage 2003. The extremely warm European summer this year must result in something very promising! Yet, one always should not to be too eager with these very young wines. They are made and meant to get an idea of the real thing tha will be ripened much later. Too much of this and yes you may end up with the light headache Christie's must have had yesterday morning when reading about the 'break-away' of their 'hood mascots' Morris & Welford. Christie's has seen worse adversities the past few centuries and probably will survive this minor setback. Check their 2 December Auction Preview.
