Let's build a Daimler/Maybach Special today !

Thursday is always a bit of slowish, so let's put some Tabasco on the table. Let's build a Special with available ingredients. We choose a solid basis, a 1924 Daimler project from The Barn (clic). Fresh in from NZ in th UK at a simple GBP 1350. Sell the engine to anyboy, we want soemthing more like this Maybach 3,8 Litre SW 38(clic). We bolt to that an unidentified gearbox(clic). The body is a matter of taste but why not start off wirth two racy French wings ? Also look for a nice radiator, soemthing more sporting then the Daimler's. Maybe check the cooling stuff (clic) Stefano Paracchi is keeping in his attick. Lighting gear is no problem as you all know, but don't wait to long to claim these MG seats . For wheels Hans 'Hispano' Veenenbos has to offer a set of five Delage's (!) (when they are still available...?). Now when all is redone and repainted you'll have a most excquisite sportscar.
