Lockheed bleeder tins.

From the late thirties, many British cars came with Lockheed hydraulic brakes. These cars also had beautiful comprehensive toolkits which included bleeding tools for these modern brakes. There was usually a “bleeder wrench” as well as a round tin containing a rubber tube with a brass nipple. When bleeding was necessary, a blanking plug on the wheel cylinder had to be removed and replaced with the brass nipple plus a rubber tube to start the bleeding. These round tins varied in coulour. There are several different yellow versions as well as pink and white ones. Who knows which colour belongs to what year? Send your response to Bas de Voogd (photo & text Bas de Voogd)
