London to Brighton Hit and Run.

Last Sundays Run to Brighton was fast in many ways. How about this 1895 Peugeot entry by Robert Brooks. He sold his car very short before the Run. In this way well-known Dutch collector Louwman secured himself a first position at the starting grid. Best media attention was of course for Red Flag Daniel Ward. Another way to cath attention was carried out by this Peugeot crew who 'suffered' ignition problems in order to force a Royal photo shoot. Other people operated at least as fast but much more in the shade. Like this 1902 -maybe even older- twostroke Bartholomew that had two early Sunday morning welding(!) pitstops. (photo's by editor; welding-photo, Ian Kerr)
