Inspired by the explanations about the engine of last weekends Gobron-Brillié Bob Swanson did once more some digging in his eclectic photo collection. In our view the 1907 GP G.B. is by far the best vintage supercar we have seen in months! Click the photo for an enlarged view of the exposed "F-1" engine lay-out. Wish I understood what you see. Wish I could hear the beast flyign by at topspeed.... 140 Km ??? Wrong! Much better than that. The same man did 166,66 km/h 3 years earlier breaking the 1904 land speed record (WikiPedia.org). Very, very courageous men! (postcard - l'Hirondelle, Paris - from collection Bob Swanson: subscript "Circuit de la Seine Inférieure. - 2 Juillet 1907 - Rigolly sur Voiture Gobron") THNX for sharing the photo, Bob!
