No reserve

The spectacular auctions by Barrett-Jackson used to be famous for selling top prewar cars. Nowadays there seems to be a trend away from traditional classics. Of the more than 400 cars that will be on the block this weekend, the majority are from the seventies and eighties. The few prewar cars on offer are Hot Rods and Customs. Nevertheless Barrett-Jackson came up with this absolutely mouth-watering 1935 SS1 two-door tourer. An SS1 is a rare beast of which not many are thought to exist today. Made by the Swallow Coachbuilding Company, the first SS1 was introduced in 1931. From 1935/1936 the name was changed to Jaguar (jag-lovers.org). This particular car will be auctioned on Saturday April 2 in West Palm Beach, Florida and there’s no reserve, which means the highest bidder will get the car, no matter the offer.
