Barry Brown of Canada sent us a nice pic from memory lane. An Austro-Daimler sign for a nightclub... Probably you can buy a nightclub or two when you still own this yellow cola bottle.....: "In 1973 I was driving my Citroen deux cheveau from Holland to Israel and upon rounding a precipitous curve on the Yugoslav coastline was shocked to see a yellow submarine docked there! Natural curiosity made me stop and inspect the brush painted old yellow car as well. I made note of the name "Austro Daimler", the first of that marque I had ever seen. The whole affair appeared to be a failed restaurant or club of sorts. Sorry for the lack of quality in the photo as it is an image of a print taken from a slide. Looking at it now it would appear to have been a very rare and desirable model. Unfortunately at the time the thought of finding the owner and negotiating with the Tito hierarchy, let alone tow-barring it through the mountains with an anaemic flat twin put a quick end to an ownership fantasy. Just wondering if it still exists?????"
