Pacecar Lady (UPDATE > Read More)

John Apen sends this :"....neat photo with a 1941 Chrysler Newport (Phaeton). Owner Rodger Willbanks thinks -after much research- that only 5 were made. Even though most sources say 6, with 5 left. No one at Chrysler or elsewhere has been able to account for the missing one. Note that Bill Warner, organizer and head man of Amelia Island Concours , continues to come up with innovative ideas for classes, this car was in the Indy Pace Car Class 1911-1942." (photo & text John Apen)
See at Indy500.com what cars to expect there. More about this glitzy Chrysler but then without this glossy 'Amelia' at www.ImperialClub.com. By the way, how many of you know that Walter P. Chrysler started his career at ALCO (fact-index.com).
