Responses came in from many including obscure French car make specialist Fons Alkemade: "...this postcard is from a relatively wellknown series showing a romantic couple going for a picnic. The car is a German(!) 1904 Piccolo of -even for that time outdated design - with aircooled engine. "
EARLIER TEXT: This a 1907 posted postcard with a 1903(?) De Dion(?). The chauffeur is racing driver Paul Bablot, who in 1913 won the Grand Prix de France in a Delage Type 'Y'. See Hans Etzrodt's pages . Maybe because of his courage he became a fighter pilot the next year which caused his far too early death in a dog fight. (postcard collection Robert Rozeman)
