Salmsons for street, rally and race.

Salmson was one of the most succesful cyclecars of the twenties. For indepth backgrounds see the French 'Amicale Salmson' or the British Salmson Owners Club. Here a short note by Roger Hart on the sporting Salmsons:
In the vintage period they basically came in three guises, the GS, GSS, and the GSC( also known as the San Sebastian), and two chassis configerations, the AL3 bottle neck, and the GS8 which was parallel over its length. The engines were basically the same with twin overhead camshafts, but in three, and finally four levels of tune. (photo of an early no-twincam Salmson probably a VAL model, courtesy the AMCK)
