Say 'Hello' to Bob at Hershey.

Bob is one of my favourite visitors. He's always there and is always coming back with nice and/or knowledgeable comment on a photo or a story. He's very helpfull and very entertaining. Now he is acting as our representative at the Hershey Autojumble. You are probably wondering what all this mumbojumbo has to do with the racing photo. Well, Bob won the competition to indetify the Bugatti Duesenberg engine plate. He wrote us that he had seen a 1/4 piece of such an engine that once was part of a race car - this nr. 23. By the way, not only was the engine larger at first, the photo was as well. "This photo of 8-10 race cars was taken June 7, 1924 in Pottstown, Pa. The photo was over two feet long one of the cars was the former 1908 Mercedes G.P. (Brooklands Society) that had a Hisso aircraft V-8 installed in it. Today it is home in Germany (Mercedes-Benz.com/e/classic) under restoration, a very famous car." When you want to talk vintage race cars, meet Bob Swanson at Hershey: space number C4J 41-42.
