Searching for hidden BHP's.

A nice period shot of a MG type K1 on the rolling road at the MG importer in Holland somewhere in 1938 (click photo for change of perspective). This car was owned by Arie van der Hoeve after he had sold his Bugatti type 40. He found the modern MG K Type MG with its small 6 cylinder engine to be much smoother then the Bug and above all, you could work on the valves in the head without the need of taking the hole engine apart. Arie was always looking for more performance hence his visit to the rolling road. (text Bas de Voogd, photos from his collection) More early 6 cylinder MG's at British Car Club of New Orleans.
