Sitting on an old beauty

Maybe these three kids know it’s a Jaguar they are sitting on. But do they realize it’s not just any Jaguar? Perhaps not. These running boards belong to a rare 2.5 litre SS Drophead Coupé of which only 281 examples have been made. Built in 1938, the old beauty spent the war laid-up on blocks and in 1946 was purchased by a RAF-pilot. For many years the SS Jaguar provided him and his family with enjoyable motoring and she was to stay in his family for more than sixty years. In 1967 she was taken off the road and since then has been dry stored in a coach house. But now the time has come for her to move on to a new owner that will spend some Tender Loving Care on her aged, yet still beautiful body. Find her attractive?
