Smaller auction houses offer bigger bargains.

Last Saturday Cheffins UK had quite an interesting auction. Some people still think the better cars only pass through the international houses. Which is not true. While the earlier mentioned Eccles/Rapier 1931 racing car was unsold several other lots changed hand at attractive prices. This Edwardian saurian, a 1909 sleeve engined Daimler went for GBP 15,000 . A lovely Riley Lynx for GBP 12,000 (you probably see her again at your local dealer with an extra 5,000-7,000). The 8 feet Bluebird model went for GBP 1,850 . A Standard Flying 12 Saloon 1935 went for GBP 100. Keep this in mind the next time you go shopping. Clic the pic for more auctionresults(photo courtesy Cheffins,UK)
