Starting the Lozier: grandma can do it !

by Mike Turner:

To start the 1913 Lozier Model 77 this is what to do:

1. Turn the switch on the dash so you can pressurize the gas tank. The gas tank is located at the back of the car, below the back seat. There is a "fuel pump" per se when the engine is running via an intake valve in number six cylinder. However, you have to pump about 3 pounds of pressure into the gas tank to force gas into the carburettor. There is a hand pump by the driver's left foot, on the floor board, to create the needed pressure.

2. You have to switch the Bosch magneto switch to "Battery". See for continuation 'Read More'
