The choice of a new generation...

Prescott Hill,UK, last weekend. Preparing for take-off: Tom Mclaughlin, 11 years of age in his 1950 Wasp '150'. OK, no prewar machinery, but close enough with this special that was built by Jim Whitehouse and Jack Moor. 50 years back Nick Moor (also at the age of 11 then) did 'The Hill' in 83.38 secs. Experience tells that at more mature age the love for cars in most cases will turn towards real prewar materials in stead towards plastic rubbish. The PreWarCar promotion team (both in their twenties) also admired the curves of mrs. Jeanne Temple with her 1935 MG PB and mr. Donald Day burning rubber with his 1938 ERA trying to equal her time... ;-) (photos Mark Albada Jelgersma; BugattiWeb.com)
