The next day.
(updates)

Yesterday a few people destroyed the lives of many, many others. The reasons why some young people turn into suicidal barbarians are beyond this page. So we limit ourselves to the victims and countless others who are hurt physically, mentally, or both. We use this simple snapshot of this nice well dressed elderly couple looking ahead in a symbolic way. Your editor has not seen the war, but what we have learnt from history lessons, is that the inhabitants of London even during the worst wartime bombardements kept on going. Yes, even with theater and everything. So in honour of the people of London we try to do likewise. We go on and pick up the thread with this quiet UK street scene.

The snapshot - showing a 1937 Austin Seven Ruby - was found a short while ago by Robert Rozeman. The licence plate reads BBJ342. Chances are indeed very, very small that anybody remembers the photo or occasion. Still - in view of everything - wouldn't it be great if somebody would remember this car. Or this plate. Or this couple? And if nothing comes up, the photo will stay as a small virtual monument for what happened on the 7th July 2005. (updates, see >>>
