The Prescott Parking. (UPDATE, 3 & 4 August )

Sorry for the poor quality photo this time. It's a quick scan of a 35 mm slide and that never works out like you have in mind. Anyway, we just wanted to mention the nearing Prescott Hill hillclimb (VSCC). An absolute must if you have the slightest chance to go. In our eyes its the ONE event to visit, or even beteer to do. But not only for the hillclimb, or in the words of David Whittle: 'The car park at Prescott is a delightful experience and worth the trip on its own!(some 300 pieces of real vintage ware and not one modern washing machine between those!; ed.) But I think Prescott and especially Shelsley have something else about them and I can only describe that as patina! This has to be the result of the 100 years (Shelsley) and nearly 70 years (Prescott) of use as a Speed Hill Climb venue. Its a bit like antique furniture. You could build a superior piece today but you can't build in all those years of use and polishing!' (lousy photo with lovely Lancia by editor)
