The Winnipeg 'Nursery ' ....

"I am sending you an interesting picture taken in 1914. It shows the graduating class of nurses from Winnipeg Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The young ladies have just received their nurse's caps and are proudly displaying them. One of the nurses in the back seat is my great aunt Kate. Twelve years later she delivered my father in Kaleden, British Columbia, Canada. I am not sure what the car is. I thought it might be a 1910 Cadillac with add-on front doors, but I'm probably wrong. Winnipeg is known as one of the coldest cities in Canada with temperatures as low as -30 in the winter - These are brave ladies!" (photo sent to us by Peter Findlay; edit.: we think it is a 1910-1912 Buick; check >> PreWarBuick) (check more of historic Winnipeg by going here (Winnipeg-Design-Competition.org).
