Today Targa Florio Finish

The historical version of the Targa Florio will finish today. We could not find a usefull website showing photos of the last few days (suggestions as always welcome). So we go back to an earlier finish. The first Targa to be exact (www.TargaFlorio.info). May 1906, 96 years ago... Vincenzo Florio, organiser of the event, is congratulating the first Targa winning team Cagno/Moriondo on their 1300 kg. Itala. It was quite a succesful era for Itala as you probably know. The next year they were going to win the Peking to Paris Race with the Count the Borghese at the wheel. (photo courtesy family Grifasi).
