UPDATE by Ernest R. Ayling (Buenos Aires): "The mystery tandem seater taking part in our local veteran car run "Recoleta-Tigre" is in fact a LaPonette. It has a tiny 4 cylinder Chapuis Dornier engine. It has been restored by its present owner Mr Axel Augspach from Buenos Aires."
EARLIER: Sunday October 30 the colorful rally Recoleta-Tigre took place in and near Buenos Aires. Max Goijarts is a young Dutch entrepeneur working and living in Buenos Aires who knows about web concepts (check AtoBiz.com), but not too much about vintage cars. Yet he did more miles in a T 44 Bugger than most of us probably ever will. So we will forgive him for sending these photos without giving a proper look at the makers emblem of this charming tandem seated cycle car. However he was quick enough to take two snapshots. Click the photo for the nose of the car. The difficult to read radiator script suggests LaBuire (???, not very likely). Do we have another mystery here? We were not successful in finding good web info about the participants. Any Argentineans who were present there and who can fill us in? [email protected]
