UPDATE by Tom Deering: Isn't she lovely?

Tom wrote us: 'Sorry it's no '40 but a '41 model: The difference between a 1940 and a 1941 Oldsmobile was as follows: 1940 was the last year the body style introduced in 1937 was used in the junior series 60 & 70. Only the 90 series which was a new model for the luxury series had a newly designed body which was shared with the senior Buick series. A common distinguishing characteristic shared by all series was the headlights. They appeared to be placed in pods on top of the fenders. It gave the car a somewhat 'bug eyed' appearance. As usual, they offered both six and eight cylinder engines on three different chassis. The wheel base was 116', 120', and 124'. (photo collection editor)
