In 1932 the Dumfries Constabulary decided for a new patrol car: the 6 cylinder Alvis Silver Eagle with Sports Tourer coachwork by Cross & Ellis: SM 9753. Of course they didn't keep the car all those years. Still, the car retains traces of the original apple green paintwork. It was kept barn stored for many years to see the daylight only recently again. Click the photo to check current 'untouched' state of the automobile. SM 9753 will be auctioned by Cheffins Saturday, June 12.
